Hi! My name is Austin Chandler. My musical journey began with my first piano lessons starting at age 4. I must admit I was not a big fan of learning to play the piano for the first few years. However, as my playing improved, I started to be able to play a variety of my favorite songs on the piano. This sparked a newfound love for the piano and a thankfulness for having parents and a piano instructor who encouraged me to stick with it. Suddenly playing piano was fun! Since then I have learned to play and have performed an exciting variety of music, from chart-topping pop songs to beautiful church hymns written centuries ago.
I am currently a degree student at Berklee College of Music pursuing a degree in Music Composition and Orchestration. I am learning so much about music and am eager to share this information with my piano students to help enrich their love of playing the piano.

My goal is to teach piano in a fun yet educational way. I want my students to be able to play music and have fun with the piano as quickly as possible. It is also important to learn the fundamentals of note-recognition and basic music theory so there is a strong basis for future progress.
Learning an instrument can be a challenge! However, I hope my teaching method will make it a fun and worthwhile investment.
